V. Schiaparelli Astronomic Observatory.
The Observatory, named after the eclectic
astronomer Giovanni Virginio Schiaparelli, was
realized in 1963 on the summit of Campo dei Fiori (1226 m), thanks to
Adele Zambeletti and Sai Vita's donation. The building includes guest
quarters. The "L. e M. Zambeletti" park extends as far as some 60
hectres. The Park and the Observatory also include the "Tomaselli"
botanic Garde, the Lombard Botanic Study Centre, the experimental Cold
Greenhouse, the Meteorological Observatory and the Seismic Observatory.
Schools and scholars are welcome all year round for studies and educational tours.
